Sup-norm nonexpansive mappings and chemical reaction networks Bas Lemmens In the past decade people have used ideas from the theory of monotone dynamical systems to obtain global convergence results for a variety of CRNs. In this talk I will explain how most of these type of results follow from a result on the dynamics of sup-norm nonexpansive mappings, It says that all bounded orbits of sup-norm nonexpansive mappings converge to periodic orbits. This observation allows one to extend some earlier works to include a wider variety of CRNs and simplify some of the arguments.
